Yes, you can use icons for commercial use as long as you follow their license. For icons that require credit and are listed under Creative Commons, you must either 1) purchase the icon via an IconPro subscription, pre-paid credit or a single $2.99 purchase to waive the credit requirement or 2) follow proper requirements when crediting the creator.
Please note, this does not apply to products available for Resale.

Sorry, I am a little confused... If I have a paid Pro Account, even if the required icon is listed with a Creative Commons underneath, can I still use it commercially without crediting the author?
You can use your icon commercially with your paid NounPro account! You only need to credit the creator if you download the icon for free.
If I cancel a paid account, can I no longer use the icons already downloaded?
Hi Kristoffer! Yes, when your subscription is cancelled you still have the rights to use icons downloaded under a paid account as long as you'd like. See here: https://thenounproject.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203639098-If-I-purchase-an-icon-do-I-own-it-forever-
What about icons that are only offered for free under the Creative Commons license? I would like to pay to use an icon so that I do not have to credit the creator, but I don't see a purchase option.
Hi DK! If you don't see an option to purchase the icon it's possible the icon is licensed as Public Domain. If it is Creative Commons, then you should be able to select Download, then pay $1.99 for the icon so you don't need to give credit. You can always email info@thenounproject.com if you need more help.
how can I use icon for free download from your site ?
Hi Tatiana,
If you get an icon for free that has Creative Commons licensing, then you need to be sure to give credit to the creator. For more information, see here: https://thenounproject.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200509928-How-do-I-give-creators-credit-in-my-work-
I've seen that squarespace uses your icons to make logos, if I used one icon.. is there a way to make people don't use an icon in specific? I'm a squarespace member.. so they let me do logos for free, but I don't want people to use the icon I used.. what can I do?
Hi Rolando,
Glad you found Squarespace's logo builder helpful! Any icons you get from our site are available through their application, however, our licensing is non-exclusive. This means that others are able to use it. Unfortunately, there's no way to get exclusive rights to the icon as your logo since our icons are Creative Commons. Please email info@thenounproject.com if you have any further questions.
Hi Noun project,
We at utterwise build web applications for our clients. One of our clients want to use 8 icons from the noun project.
The web application is a commercial product which will be used different types/roles of user.
We have advised the client to purchase NounPro Individual Subscription and then use those 8 icons in the web application.
Or
Because we are team of developers we have to take the NounPro unlimited Team subscription?
At the end of the day. We will be using those 8 icons in a commercial facing web application
Thanks,
Omkar
