Your membership in the Noun Project community is valuable, and we want to help you protect it and maintain it in good standing. We have certain account requirements and behavioral expectations we use to protect your account. Here's what you need to know for safe and authentic engagement on our platform:
Account Requirements
We take account security and authenticity very seriously. To protect both you and our platform, we require users to:
- Create one account per person, using your real identity
- Use a personal, valid PayPal account with an authentic email associated
In some cases, we may request additional verification to authenticate your account and PayPal.
Prohibited Activity
- Hacking or taking over someone’s account
- Submitting plagiarism
- Creating multiple accounts
- Using a PayPal email that does not match your legal identity
- Committing royalties fraud
- Attempting to manipulate search rankings
- Submitting spam, defined as:
- AI-generated content

AI-generated styles, including:
- Mascot
- Doodles
- Cartoons
- One-line art
- Pixel art
- Chibi or anime
- Emerging AI-generated styles that may not be listed above

Repeated or persistent visual or title/tagging issues such as:
- Incoherent icon themes
- Inconsistent style
- Redundant content
- Poor visual quality
- Inaccurate titles or tags
Policy Implementation
If we detect any violations of these guidelines, Noun Project reserves the right to:
- Suspend your account
- Withhold royalty payments
- Ban your account
